Freighter Passes Test at Airport

Into the air above Municipal Airport yesterday went a light-freighter type ultimately designed for service in the Phillipine Islands.

Initial tests for the ship, built last fall at the Cunningham-Hall Aircraft Corporation here, were reported successful, but performance details were withheld. At the controls was pilot Ray Hylan. The ship is similar to the previous cabin jobs produced by the Rochester maker. Its cabin interior is designed to carry a heavy pay cargo. It is powered by a 365 horse=power Wright motor, and has an adjustable pitch propeller.

Outside the fact that it will go to the Phillipines, the manufacturer declined to disclose identity of the purchaser.
