Brownell-Trebert manufactured four and six cylinder automobile engines.
In 1906, the company was located at 407 St. Paul St. This was the site of the forner Trebert Auto and Marine Motor Company. Frank Brownell was president and tresurer and H.L.F. Trebert was vice president and mechanical engineer. Henry Trebert Sr. was a machinist.
In 1907 the company moved to a new location at 634 Lexington Avenue. Frank Brownell was still president and tresurer, however H.L.F. Trebert is listed in the directory as a mechanical engineer only. Henry Trebert Sr. is still listed as a machinist.
By 1908 the Brownell-Trebert Company was succeded by the F.A. Brownell Motor Company at the same location.
